Kamal-Deen Abdallah Ibn Chambas
Founder & President
Kamal-Deen Abdallah Ibn Chambas is the Founder and President of the Make Africa Great Again Foundation (MAGA Foundation), a visionary leader driven by a deep passion for Africa’s transformation and sustainable development.
Inspiration and purpose
The idea behind establishing MAGA Foundation was born out of Kamal-Deen’s strong desire to see Africa rise beyond its longstanding challenges and take its rightful place on the global stage. Observing the persistent issues of poverty, limited access to quality education, youth unemployment, and inequality across many African communities, he was inspired to take action rather than remain a bystander.
He envisioned a platform that would not only address these challenges but also unlock the immense potential of Africa’s people — especially the youth and women. His dream was to create an organization that promotes self-reliance, innovation, and inclusive growth, while restoring hope and dignity to underserved populations.
Educational background
Kamal-Deen was awarded a scholarship to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resource Management in Malaysia, gaining strong knowledge in organizational leadership, people management, and strategic development.
- Data Protection certification — Ghana Data Protection Commission (data privacy, governance, regulatory compliance).
- Certificate in Waqf Training — Awqaf Africa & the World Zakat and Waqf Forum, Malaysia (Islamic social finance, endowment management, sustainable charitable systems).
Leadership experience
Kamal-Deen has demonstrated strong leadership across various initiatives, serving within community-based and continental development efforts and consistently showing commitment to social impact and youth empowerment.
As Founder and President of MAGA Foundation, he has successfully mobilized volunteers, built partnerships, and led the implementation of programs aimed at improving education, supporting entrepreneurship, and promoting community development. His leadership style is inclusive, strategic, and results-oriented — focused on collaboration and long-term impact. He has also played key roles in organizing youth summits and community outreach programs, creating platforms for dialogue, learning, and empowerment.
Aspirations
Kamal-Deen aspires to build MAGA Foundation into one of Africa’s leading development organizations — with a presence in all 54 African countries and a reputation for delivering high-impact, sustainable solutions.
His long-term vision is to contribute to shaping a new generation of African leaders who are innovative, ethical, and committed to the continent’s progress. Ultimately, his aspiration is to see a transformed Africa — economically vibrant, socially inclusive, and globally competitive — where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.
